2018-19 President's Letter

Dear Live Oak Parents,

Great seeing everyone at registration and today at 1st day of school. What a great year I am looking forward too.

We at Live Oak Ed Fund our volunteer parents just like yourself and we want all the best we can give our children.

A little background on me. I been at live Oak for 8 years. I spent 6 of those years volunteering on the PTA board in many positions. The last two year I been the president of Ed Fund.  I have 4 children. Two boys in middle school and 2 girls at Live Oak. I love serving our community and our schools are amazing.

 

Thank you to parents like YOU, make a difference at Live Oak with all your donations. We almost reached our goal of $225,000.00! We were able to raise $216,145.50! Because of your generous donations, our board were budget accordingly to the school needs at our Sept meeting.

 

Live Oak been open for 11 years and we have never been forced to cut  a single program. Unlike some other schools in the district who experienced a marked decline in donations and were forced to cut significant programs, our community remained committed to the LOEF initiatives

I want to sincerely thank you for your donation to the Live Oak Elementary Education Fund!
Because of the generosity you and other parents have shown to our school, our children will benefit from the following during this coming year:

  • Staff: art teacher, music teacher, librarian, computer support, classroom paraeducators;
  • Technology: Computers, iPads, laptops, interactive whiteboards, and software;
  • Programs: Science, literacy and math enrichment, Soul Shoppe;
  • Supplies: Science lab, music and art supplies, library and classroom books;
  • STEAM curriculum; Eagles Nest
  • Field Trips per grade level;
  • All Classroom Supplies; and
  • .

We hope you will join us in the coming year for our annual FUN fundraising community nights. Not only do these nights help support the programs and offset registration shortfalls, they are a great opportunity for the community come together, have fun, celebrate and connect. So please, mark your calendars!
