President Letters

2017-18 President's Letter

Dear Live Oak Parents,

Thank you! Thank you!

Our goal was to raise $250,000 at this year's Registration. Thank you to parents like YOU, we almost reached our goal! We were able to raise almost $225,000! Because of your generous donations, our board was able to budget accordingly and LOEF will not be forced to cut any funding for school

enhancement programs this year. Unlike some other schools in the district who experienced a marked decline in donations and were forced to cut significant programs, our community remained committed to the LOEF initiatives.

I want to sincerely thank you for your donation to the Live Oak Elementary Education Fund!
Because of the generosity you and other parents have shown to our school, our children will benefit from the following during this coming year:

  • Staff: art teacher, music teacher, librarian, computer support, classroom paraeducators;

  • Technology: Computers, iPads, iPod touches, interactive whiteboards, and software;

  • Programs: Science, literacy and math enrichment, Soul Shoppe;

  • Supplies: Science lab, music and art supplies, library and classroom books;

  • STEAM curriculum;

  • Field Trips per grade level;

  • All Classroom Supplies; and

  • Classroom Leveled Libraries.

We hope you you will join us in the coming year for our annual FUN fundraising community nights. Not only do these nights help support the programs and offset registration shortfalls, they are a great opportunity for the community come together, have fun, celebrate and connect. So please, mark your calendars!
