Welcome to Science Lab at Live Oak. My name is Sripriya Gopalan and students
from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be coming to my lab. This is my fifth year of teaching
science and I have enjoyed every moment of it! Prior to my shift in career to teaching,
I was a software engineer and program manager at various technology companies.
Live Oak is a great school where the staff and students are inspired and motivated to
be the best that they can be. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this vibrant community.
Looking forward to another great year!
Kelly Los Banos
My name is Kelly Los Banos and I am teaching the science
lab for 1st, 2nd and many 3rd grade classes. This is my 10th
year teaching in San Ramon, and I am proud to have been a part of
Live Oak Elementary since our opening year in 2007. At Live Oak, it has
been my pleasure to work with and learn from amazing colleagues, as I
taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. As I move onto this new adventure
in my teaching career I am grateful to work alongside many of those same
colleagues, as well as teaching many former students! Teaching science is truly a
dream job for me! It is a joy to share my passion for science- wildlife, exploring
nature, geology and a commitment to ecological best practices- with Live Oak students!
Kelly Los Banos
My name is Jenica Patel and I am thrilled to be filling in for the science lab for
1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from the
University of Oklahoma and am currently finishing up my Multiple Subject Teaching
Credential and MA in Teaching at Brandman University. I completed my student teaching
assignment in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and am thrilled to be at Live Oak!
I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and I am looking forward to creating many opportunities for students to discover a new side of science.
